My Unique Approach to Family Photography
WHAT MAKES me DIFFERENT
You've probably had the "Look at the camera and smile" family sessions but I do things a little differently. I create an experience for your family. Because who wants to look at photos of a forced smile? Not me! I want genuine encounters filled with laughter that you can feel through the screen. It's what makes my husband ask me "what are you smiling at?" when I'm editing a session. I feel the JOY. And it makes me oh so happy to deliver that type of session to my clients.
These important moments in life deserve to be documented. After all, it's not like you are growing a human inside of you everyday. Although maybe some of you mamas feel that way :)
You need a photographer who makes you feel confident and to pose you in the most flattering ways, give you tips on what to wear for your growing body, and to help you focus more on the beauty in the miracle of life instead of how you may feel. I mean truly, what a gift this is.
I want you to be comfortable from bump to baby. Whether thats waiting 2 weeks or waiting 1 month after baby is born. Whether you want them done in a studio or in the comfort of your own cozy home. What matters most is soaking in the moments because right now is the littlest they will ever be.

Okay so here you are - you've scheduled the session, picked the outfits, bribed everyone with ice cream for after the session. You and your hubby are in the middle of one kid wanting held and the other seeming more interested in the rocks then engaging with the family. Well you know what - I've been there. For my own family pictures and hundreds of sessions before you. In their little minds I want them to realize we are not asking them to be magical unicorn children, we are here to play with mom and dad, tickle brother and sister and enjoy being together.
Only thing I need from you is to EMBRACE the chaos and to trust the process :)

Motherhood - my bread and butter if you will and my absolute favorite thing to capture.
I know as well as anyone how motherhood can completely rock your world. It's one of the most unseen jobs but man oh man, what an impact it has on our world. Not only for our kids but the future of this generation.
But mama, you embody beauty. You embody safety, unconditional love and comfort to your children. I want to give you images where you truly feel stunning, seen, and we can truly focus on the tiny interactions and in-between moments with you and your little loves.
I host a in-studio Motherhood Event yearly in the Spring but I love to capture motherhood all year long!

Friendship is free of charge, just a bonus ;) Not in a forceful "be my friend" type of way. I want to be the photographer you can text at 8 p.m. asking which outfits go together the best. One of the things I love the most is the friendship that blossoms out of each client.
